Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Technology Business Services Assistant in Information Technology.

Primary Job Duties: Maintains department receiving and storage facility which includes receiving, recording, and tracking of equipment and spare parts. Receives and inspects shipments for compliance with both delivery documents and purchase order specifications. Tags, labels, or marks for identification all supplies, materials, and equipment received. Keeps work area in a clean and orderly manner. Leads daily operations. Determines work priorities, plans, schedules, assigns, and reviews work. Issues and delivers equipment and supplies from the department receiving and storage area to IT technicians and other campus employees. Uses a Procurement Card to purchase small dollar items for stock. Record and reconcile credit card transactions. Ensures inventory levels by conducting physical inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment. Enter, update, and transfer task in IT's electronic ticketing system. Enter data and update the inventory system. Assist in automating existing paper forms.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED and 2 years related work experience required. Must possess a valid Maryland non-commercial Class C or equivalent driver's license with 5 or less points for moving violations.

General knowledge of the procedures and practices of issuing and storing supplies, materials, and equipment. Ability to perform basic mathematics; to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to perform arithmetic calculations; ability to prepare written records and reports; to follow directions; to operate computers and other standard office equipment; to perform extensive standing, walking, and climbing; to lift, transport and stock assigned supplies and materials; to wear and work in personal protective equipment. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Knowledge of Windows based software, including Microsoft Office products.

Preferred Qualifications: Stockroom experience and one year experience working in an Information Technology environment preferred. Experience with order fulfilment, delivery, inventory and asset tagging practices preferred.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, State position with a full benefits package. Starting salary is $32,200 annually, which is approximately $15.40 per hour.
