Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Merchandiser III in the University Bookstore.

Primary Job Duties: Under the direction of the Manager for Retail, this position manages and maintains the SU Bookstore website and all social media accounts for the bookstore. This position is responsible for supervising and training employees in the web order fulfillment and distribution processes, and assisting the director and buyers with all of marketing and promotions for the bookstore, the stadium store and the downtown store.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of retail experience managing a web site. Cash Register Operation, Computer Skills including MS Office and knowledge of website and social media applications including html, adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

Thorough knowledge of retail and merchandising procedures including accounting practices and website management. Ability to operate a cash register, photo copier, computer, adding machine and digital camera, cell phone, computer, shipping applications and services. Ability to make arithmetic computations; to communicate and interact effectively with customers, campus community, vendors, and employees; to supervise and train merchandising personnel.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Graphic Design or Computer Science or a related field, preferred.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, State position with a full benefits package. Starting salary is $33,142 annually, which is approximately $15.85 per hour. This position requires night and weekend shifts on a rotating schedule through our three stores.
