Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant I in the School of Nursing.

Primary Job Duties: Provides a full-range of administrative support to the faculty and staff within the School of Nursing including, but not limited to: front-desk customer service, phone coverage, record/disseminate minutes of department meetings, support departmental committee work, maintains records for accreditation purposes, maintain and update the School website, preparing purchase requisitions/general work orders, creating hard copy and digital files and records, scheduling events and activities. Responsible for creating/maintaining class schedule, monitor student compliance with program requirements, processes incoming student applications/scholarships.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and 2 years experience in an administrative support function. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook e-mail is required.

Excellent interpersonal, customer service, administrative, oral and written communication skills; attention to detail; ability to plan, organize, prioritize, multi-task, be flexible and possess the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, demonstrate initiative, project a professional image, and work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications: 2 years of college preferred. Experience with PeopleSoft and web editing is desired.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, State position with a full benefits package. Starting hourly rate is $16.94, which is approximately $35,438.00 annually.
