Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant II in the Entrepreneurship Department.

Primary Job Duties: This position supports the Entrepreneurship Department providing complex administrative support to the Executive Director and the Dean of Perdue School of Business as needed. Activities associated with this position will require interaction with the USM and other system institutions, Maryland State Agencies, Regional Organizations, Shore Hatchery Board members, sponsors, donors, SU students, faculty and staff. Incumbents exercise confidentiality, discretion, and judgment with considerable consequence of error.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma and three years experience providing administrative support. Proficiency in MS Office applications and social media platform development.

Preferred Qualifications: Associate Degree desired. Five years of experience preferred. Proficiency in web application editing and updating preferred.

Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral and written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required. Ability to learn and become proficient in web application editing and updating within 6 months from date of hire. Ability to interact with campus community, regional community, Shore Hatchery Board members and applicants, Student Competition applicants, sponsors and judges in and efficient and professional manner. Ability to work with the downtown community for the support and development of the downtown entrepreneurship center. Ability to organize, plan and execute the economic development and entrepreneurship events such as the Shore Hatchery, Student Entrepreneurship Competitions, Shark Tank, StartUP Bus and other events as identified and assigned.

This is a full-time, non-exempt State position with a full benefits package. Starting pay is $17.77 per hour which is approximately $37,157.00 annually.
