Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant I in Center for Healthy Communities.
Primary Job Duties: Provide moderately complex administrative support for grant-funded programs within the Center for Healthily Communities, including but not limited to: tracking student placement and contacts; preparing purchase requisitions and work orders for program needs; providing phone and email coverage for program staff; scheduling and managing training sessions for student interns and local practitioners; and other support for grant-program needs.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and 2 years administrative experience. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
General knowledge of and skill in the practical application of generally accepted office practices and procedures. Ability to communicate effective both orally and in writing. Ability to proofread and edit written documents. Skill in various computer software packages, such as word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation programs, Internet, email and calendaring software. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to interact effectively with internal and external parties in a courteous and efficient manner. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute multiple and continuing assignments with general instructions.
This is a full-time, non-exempt, Contingent II (long-term contractual), position with a limited benefits package including medical, prescription, dental, paid leave, tuition remission and more. Starting hourly rate is $17.31, which is approximately $36,111.00 annually.
