Salisbury University (SU) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director, Production and Operations for Delmarva Public Media (DPM). DPM is a public radio cooperative between Salisbury University and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, an is comprised of three radio stations, 89.5 FM Classical Delmarva, 90.7 FM Rhythm and News, and 91.3 FM Jazz, Blues and NPR News.

Primary Job Duties: Supervise, maintain and update the Operations of the three-station Delmarva Public Media (DPM) collaboration (WSCL/WSDL and WESM).

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in BA/BS or a related field. 3-5 years of demonstrated experience with radio broadcast operations. Demonstrated talent in spot writing and audio production. Proficiency with interfacing radio traffic/log systems (Marketron Visual Traffic preferred). General knowledge of F.C.C. rules and regulations. Proficiency with Adobe Audition digital audio production. Ability to interpret audience measurement data (RRC/Nielson).

Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral and written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point) is required.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with NPR Content Depot and satellite services preferred.

This is a full-time, exempt, Contingent II (contractual) position with a limited benefits package including medical, prescription, dental, paid leave, tuition remission and more. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position is considered essential and will be called upon to provide emergency coverage when necessary, for example, during extreme weather conditions when the campus may be closed.
