Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant I in Human Resources Office.

Primary Job Duties: Under supervision and with thorough Human Resources practical knowledge, provides moderately complex support for administrative and operation functions in a Human Resources Office and in support of the Human Resources Team. This includes, but not limited to, exceptional customer service and support to internal and external customers via phone, email, and/or walk-in relating to human resources information, practices and procedures; providing process and HR related activities support; and preparing correspondence, financial and other documents, as well as resolving discrepancies. Additionally, provide administrative support to the Information Technology Office, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED and two years clerical experience.

Working knowledge of general office practices and procedures; of business English, spelling, grammar and punctuation; communicate effectively both orally and in writing to maintain poise and courtesy under pressure to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and tact; to organize and execute multiple assignments under specific time constraints with general instructions; to perform mathematical computations; to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications: One year of clerical experience in Human Resources setting. Working knowledge of Peoplesoft (or an ERP system) or applicant tracking systems or online application system preferred.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, State position with a full benefits package. Starting hourly rate is $17.31, which is approximately $36,111 annually.
