Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director for Guerrieri Student Union & Student Involvement.

Primary Job Duties: This position is responsible for providing leadership and for setting the strategic vision for the areas of the Guerrieri Student Union, Event Technical Services, Auditorium Services, Off-Camus Housing, Commuter Services, Fraternity and Sorority Life and CSIL (Center for Student Involvement and Leadership). This position will work closely with campus partners to provide the best resources and services possible within student programming, leadership and facilities management, as well as in coordination with other campus areas including Academic Affairs; Physical Plant, Conference Services and Reservations, Housing and Residence Life, Office of Community Standards and Admissions. The incumbent will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with the surrounding community, providing oversight and support for Off-Campus housing and Commuter students.

Minimum Qualifications: Five or more years of related experience in student affairs with a minimum of three years of progressive leadership experience including strategic planning and short-term and long-term goal setting at a departmental level. Master s degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education, Business, Management or a related field. Demonstrated knowledge and implementation of best practices in fraternity/sorority life, student union management, facilities management, student activities, or student leadership; commuter student needs and services, and a genuine interest and enthusiasm for working directly with students. Experience with facilities management and budgeting at a department level. Proven background in support and enhancement of diversity, equity, and inclusion activities within a University student activities program.

Highly organized with attention to detail. Ability to think strategically for a number of different operational areas simultaneously as well as lead and support a diverse staff in the design and implementation of a dynamic student union and activities program which supports diversity, and inclusion of the student population and campus community. Demonstrated excellence in managerial, supervisory, and team-building; and desire to work in an interactive, high-traffic, fast-paced environment.

Must have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral and written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously, work well under pressure, and work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.

This is a full-time, exempt State position with a full benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position is expected to report to work in emergency situations such as extreme weather conditions when the campus may be closed.
