Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Academic Program Specialist in the Institute for Public Affairs and Civic Engagement (PACE).

Primary Job Duties: Independently coordinate the operational tasks involved in the day-to-day administration of the PACE Department and assist in the development and support of new programs and initiatives. This position reports directly to the Director of PACE.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination in accordance with USM Guidelines. One year of work experience. Microsoft Office Suite, copy machines.

Must be flexible, professional and able to work independently or as part of a team. Must demonstrate excellent attention to detail, have good organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced office. Must have excellent computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation programs. Ability to prepare and track budgets. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with tact and discretion. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, State position with a full benefits package. Starting hourly rate is $18.16, which is approximately $37,863.00 annually. After successful completion of a 6-month probationary period, there is a 2.5% pay increase for new hires or internal promotions.
