Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Cashier in the University Bookstore.
Primary Job Duties: To perform cashiering functions within the University Bookstore to include operation of point-of-sale cash register, preparing monies for bank deposit, and maintaining records of cashiering operation. Prepares and submits records and reports pertaining to cash received in accordance with established guidelines. Light stocking and fulfillment of web orders. Provides a high level of customer service while performing all of these duties.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma/GED and one year of cashiering experience; knowledge of Microsoft Office, experience operating a POS System and office equipment. This position requires the ability to lift 25 lbs and standing for long periods of time.
This is a part-time (19 hours per week) contractual position. The starting pay rate is approximately $15.00 per hour.
