Salisbury University, a member of the University System of Maryland, is a regionally accredited four-year comprehensive institution offering 61 distinct graduate and undergraduate programs. Located on the historic Eastern Shore, SU's beautiful campus is some 30 miles from the Atlantic beaches and 2.5 hours from Baltimore and Washington, D.C.

Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Coordinator of Student Life.

Primary Job Duties: Create a comprehensive leadership training for student leaders; plan out-of-class educational and co-curricular activities for students; support program planning for over 100 registered student organizations; oversee volunteer center processes and initiatives; program wellness educational initiatives that support student s decisions to lead healthy lives, make good choices, and become more involved as student leaders; provide event planning and risk management support and training for student leaders and club advisors; serve as back up advisor to student organizations; participate in a variety of campus community events; and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor s degree and one to three (1-3) years of related experience. Prior experience in Student Activities; event planning; student leadership development and training required.

Must be able to: relate to diverse students; develop rapport with supporting services in the university setting to foster a positive work environment. Must have sensitivity to a diverse campus population. Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral and written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks in a high energy, fast paced setting and work well under pressure, work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Preferred Qualifications: Master s degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, or Counseling preferred.

This is a full-time exempt State position with a full benefits package. Salary is expected to be in the range of $42,000-$46,000 annually depending on qualifications. This position requires periodic evening and weekend hours.
