The Department of Teaching, Learning and Culture (TLAC) encompasses students, faculty and staff whose efforts and interests center on the many different aspects of academics, teaching and classroom education. One of four departments in the College of Education and Human Development, TLAC is currently home to over 1200 undergraduate students, about 400 graduate students, 47 faculty members and 26 staff members. What an awesome opportunity that's now been made available to be apart of pioneering research projects to support children with autism! Specifically the Postdoctoral Research Associate will play the crucial role of a methodologist for the Intelligent Tutoring Systems research projects. One will conduct various analysis, present findings at conferences and be involved in advanced forecasting and improvements for the efficacy of the systems just to name a few. Required Education:
  • Appropriate PhD
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
Other Requirements:
  • Require extensive travel (occasionally overnight)
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience collecting and analyzing data from K-12 school-based research
  • Prior experience working on research grants
  • Two or more years of data analysis using Hierarchical linear modeling (HLM), Structural equation modeling (SEM), and Latent Class models
  • Must have published research using these statistical analysis techniques
  • Forecasting algorithms and longitudinal analysis required
  • Data Review - Perform data cleaning and review
  • Data Analysis - Perform various analysis including big data analysis, and exploratory data analysis
  • Manuscript Preparation - Prepare manuscript/s and written communication of data
  • Data Presentation - Deliver presentations at conferences
  • Performs other duties as assigned
