The Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University seeks to hire up to 6 temporary non-tenure-track lecturers in emergency medicine. Hospital duties will consist of four 10-hour shifts within a given week that may include weekend, daytime, and evening assignments depending on service needs. The lecturer will not be responsible for overnight shifts.

The temporary lecturer will devote 100% of their time to patient care and clinical instruction on the Emergency Service. Clinical duties will be shared with 4 critical care residents and 3 rotating interns. The Emergency Service admits over 7000 cases per year with the Critical Care clinicians additionally consulting on some 2000 ICU cases.

Applicants must have a DVM degree (or equivalent) and can be a general veterinarian or boarded specialist. Applicants must be licensed or eligible to be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Texas.
