The division supports and protects over $1.13 billion research efforts, including traditional research and federal grants for both classified and unclassified work. Glimpse of Day to Day and Your Opportunity to Contribute

As a Microsoft Adoptions Specialist, you will ensure M365 enterprise technology is fully utilized by supporting end user ticket resolution and collaborating with engineers for complex and non-routine solutions. You will have the opportunity to influence end user knowledge adoption by designing and leading in-person and remote training sessions. You seek to fully understand a customer concerns and are motivated to take on new challenges.

This is an on-site position, Monday-Friday primarily. Ad hoc support on nights and/or weekends may be needed based on business initiatives. The salary range is commensurate with experience up to $75,000 per year.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; prefer Bachelor's in Computer or Information Systems Management or Information Technology
  • Eight years of experience in hardware, software, and network technology administration
  • Prefer 2 + years' customer service and/or training experience
  • Prefer 2+ years' experience using and helping others leverage Microsoft cloud technologies and Intune
  • Prefer 1+ years using Google Workspace

  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 platform (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online)

Responsibilities
  • Microsoft 365 Service & Support - Oversees support and training initiatives for Microsoft 365 Service. Develops standards and specifications for Microsoft 365 service and support based on input from the enterprise's stakeholders. Consults with and assists Service Desk personnel, Microsoft 365 Engineers, vendors and/or manufacturers' representatives in resolving complex procedural, operational, and technical problems. Serves as a liaison between engineers and campus members for incident resolution. Designs and/or leads Microsoft 365 campus engagement campaigns that support the Division's Microsoft 365 enterprise initiatives. Designs and leads in-person and/or remote Microsoft 365 training sessions with campus members. Performs all or some of the duties of a Client Technologies Analyst III.
  • Incident Management & Documentation - Monitors and manages assigned incidents and helps request queues according to established Incident Management expectations using the Division's Incident Management platform. Provides timely updates and effective communication methods to keep campus members informed through resolution. Monitors and addresses assigned work daily. Establishes protocols and processes for problem management and support. Stays informed and provides input on Disaster recovery/business continuity plans.
  • Project Planning Support - Collaborates with project leaders and executive staff to develop work plan and time schedules for projects including outlining phases and identifying personnel and resource requirements.
  • Metrics - Plans, directs, and coordinates operational and procedural goals and objectives. Participates in tracking and measuring objectives and key performance results for the team.
  • Professional Development - Participates in a minimum of four (4) applicable IT training and professional development activities yearly, as approved by IT leadership. Performs other duties as assigned.
