Visiting Lecturer - Political Science

The Department of Political Science at TCU invites applications for a one-year lecturer position in Research Methods for the 2020-21 academic year. Preference will be given to candidates who will have completed the Ph.D. in Political Science and have demonstrated the capacity for excellence in the classroom and success as a teacher-scholar. The successful candidate will have a 4/4 teaching load, and the salary is competitive.

Applicants should submit a letter of application, CV, transcript, a portfolio of teaching materials (including a teaching philosophy statement and a sample syllabus in an upper-level methods course), and a one-page diversity statement. The finalists for the position will be asked either to submit a video of a teaching demonstration in front of students (approximately 45 minutes in length) or will be asked to give a teaching demonstration during a campus interview.
