Responsibilities:
• Teach a variety of courses at undergraduate and graduate (Master's and Doctoral) levels in educational and instructional technology in the Instructional Technology/Computers in Applied Technology program
• Maintain an active research/publication record
• Develop grant proposals for external funding
• Serve on student and faculty committees, such as dissertation committees, and committees related to faculty governance
• Mentor and advise students
• Provide leadership and partnership improvements in computer science education across the state.
• Design and develop with colleagues, computer science education courses and programs
• Assist in ongoing program revisions, data collection, and assessment
• Provide service within the University, to state and local education agencies, and to relevant professional education organizations
• Collaborate with local schools and school systems
This position requires a regular on campus presence as needed to collaborate with peers

Minimum Qualifications:
• Earned doctorate by August 2020 in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Learning Sciences, or a closely related field
• Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design and technology theories and principles
• Ability to mentor and advise students
• Potential/ability to secure external funding.
• Evidence suggesting potential to assume a leadership role in computer science education (e.g., university and/or K-12 program development, policy development, teacher certification, etc.)
• Available to teach courses online, on-campus, and weekends
• Demonstrated commitment to working with students from diverse populations
Preferred Qualifications: • Professional instructional design experience
• Teaching experience in K-12 settings
• K-12 teaching experience in Computer Science (e.g. computational thinking, programming, robotics, etc.)
• Familiar with CSTA K-12 Computer Science Standards
• A record of successful teaching at the postsecondary level
• Experience in designing online courses
• Evidence of successful teaching in online and/or hybrid learning environments
