Position: Assistant Professor of Reading Education PK-6 (Tenure-Track)
Minimum Qualifications:
• Earned Doctorate in reading education, an emphasis in reading/literacy education within early childhood education, elementary/middle grades education, or curriculum and instruction
• Minimum 2 years full-time classroom teaching experience in pre-K to 8
• Evidence of scholarly publications in reading/literacy education
• Ability to teach courses in reading methods pre-K to 8
• Ability to integrate technology into instruction
Preferred Requirements
• Experience and expertise in emergent reading/content area literacy
• Experience in grant writing
• Ability to teach with an inclusive perspective
• Experience with mixed methods research design
• Experience working in collaborative settings
