The Department of Population Health is a leading research department at the University of Kansas and home to nationally recognized educational programs. Our Wichita campus is particularly well known for its research, service, and education efforts related to cancer control, rural health, worksite wellness, maternal and child health, public health, and health equity.
We are actively seeking to expand our programming on the Wichita campus and are seeking a Vice Chair with interdisciplinary skills to lead public health research and service, addressing issues related to (but not limited to) interventions or evaluation in public health, cancer control, and health behaviors.
As part of our teaching mission for the broader University, The Department offers a Master of Science in Clinical Research (MSCR) degree, a Master of Public Health (MPH), and supports elective and required courses in our School of Medicine.
For clinical faculty, the position can include clinical practice opportunities with an associated academic appointment in one of our outstanding clinical departments.
